NJ Municipal, superior, and federal Court

Traffic and Municipal Court

The court room can be a scary place to end up. We have represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants in a wide range of cases, from contract disputes, to employment litigation, to extremely complicated federal court litigation. You need an attorney to advise you on the implications of every decision that you make along the way. For instance, even if a contractor has done nothing wrong, if their contract isn't compliant with the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, the contractor will be forced to pay for their own attorney, in addition to the Plaintiff's attorney. This doesn't mean that there isn't a defense or a counter-claim. What it does mean, is that you need a law firm that is familiar with the options and that can advise you before you find yourself on the wrong end of a very significant judgment.

If you are the party that was wronged, then you have other serious considerations, such as the time which the law allows you to file a lawsuit. The range of dates can be less than ninety days or can exceed six years, depending on the type of lawsuit and whether you intend to sue an individual, a business, a government entity, or the government, itself.

Another common mistake that people make is to entrust the care of the matter to a business partner or ignore the problem and hope that it will go away. Someone else's assurances that they will take care of a matter for you does not mean that they have a legal obligation to do so and their failure to do so will not be a defense and, unfortunately, ignoring problems does not cause them to go away.
